How to get to 7 Stone Idols/ Giants ( Weathered Columns on the Man Pupu Ner plateau) and to do it for a minimum financial investments

 Some tips and information.

Stone Idols, Giants, Pillars,  7 Strongmen Formation,  Weathered Columns... whatever, it's all the same...
This place of interest, known presently as one of Seven  Wonders of Russia , is situated  on the Man Pupu Ner plateau , Nothern Ural Mountains in  Komi Republic, Russia.

If someone wish to visit this remarkable place of interest,  you may  avoide paying twice or even triple.
First of all, no need to buy any tours  in Moscow's or local agencies. They  provide no services , except  delivery  by motorboat  to the camp on  Ilych river,  which is  about 20 miles  hike from  the destination on the Man Pupu Ner plateau.  Besides, neither boatmen nor local guides can  speak English.
No need to visit Syktyvkar either.   It's a capital of Komi Republic but  it's not  the geographical center and site of roads junction.
Ukhta is the right place to arrive and  to start your journey, whether you intend to visit    the Pechora - Ilych  Reserve ( with Man Pupu Ner sightseeings)  or  you travel to ' Yugyd Va' National Park  to Shchuger and Podcherje  rivers rafting start points.
One more important remark...  The most interesting and unexpensive route to reach Man Pupu Ner plateau is rafting down Ilych river  from its headwaters to the Ydgyd Lyaga  camp. Subsequent 2-3 days hike to 7 Stone Idols.  Then one may continue rafting to the mouth of the Ilych river  or use motorboat to reach Troitsko- Pechorsk  to connect rail or auto/bus travel to Ukhta.
As we use this route quite often for outdoor  recreation  in  the Northern  Ural area  and also have got  a reasonable level of English language, we would be glad to share exploring those Great Natural Creatures with incoming guests.  So, we can be your local guides in the area  and also help with advises  :  how to get permission for visiting Pechora- Ilych Reserve  or Yugyd Va National Park

Regrettably , the hiking route from the check point Ust - Lyaga on the Ilych river to Manpupuner plateau is no longer available since the year  2018  due to  the environmental protection measures .
Don't hesitate asking me about the other solutions .
